The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced that the chicken produced in the laboratory from Upside Foods “is safe to eat”, as the laboratory meat may soon come to the dinner dish, according to the New York Post.
The site said that the agency’s announcement is specifically related to the cultivated chicken produced by the emerging Upside Foods company in California, however, it may soon extend to the artificial meat made by many other companies.

Singapore is currently the only country in which meat planted in the laboratory can be sold to consumers legally, in order to manufacture its meat.
