Barzani calls on Iran to solve problems with dialogue, not missiles

Erbil – The head of the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government, Masroor Barzani, called on Iran to stop its missile attacks on the region from time to time, which target some Kurdish forces opposing the regime in Tehran.
Barzani said during his hosting of the Peace and Security Forum in the Middle East held at the American University in Dohuk on Thursday that Iran should respect Iraqi sovereignty, adding, “We call for good relations with neighboring countries.

Barzani demanded, according to what was published by the Iraqi Kurdish “Shafaq News” website to activate the dialogue with Iraq and the region, saying, “Iran attacked us a lot and this is a breach of the sovereignty of the lands of Iraq, and if there is a problem that must be resolved through dialogue and the missiles are not used against us.

Barzani accused Iran of exporting tension to the region, saying, “There are tensions in Iran, and these tensions should not be issued to the neighboring countries, and they must respect the sovereignty of the lands of Iraq. ”
Masroor Barzani criticizes Iran in a letter to the United States that the region rejects Iranian interventions, especially since the Kurdistan Democratic Party led by Masrur Barzani accused of collusion with the Turkish and Iranian sides.

Barzani seeks to win the American side in the midst of accusations of the relationship of an implicit alliance between the Barzani and Iran party.
Both Turkey and Iran launched military operations and attacks that affected areas in northern Iraq and on the border with the region under the pretext of the pursuit of both the Kurdistan Workers Party and the Kurdistan Free Life Party.

Reports talk about military coordination between the two countries to confront the Kurdish rebellion, while the Kurdistan region authorities are committed to silence or their opposition is dim, so that it does not lose the economic artery that Ankara and Tehran have passed in the midst of an economic crisis in the region.

Iran launched the beginning of this week new missile attacks targeting the sites of separatist Kurdish parties after a period of similar attacks that killed and wounded, especially among Iranian refugees in the Kurdistan region.

The Revolutionary Guards also launched a ballistic missile attack last March, targeting the house of an Iraqi businessman in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan region of Iraq, under the pretext that it was the headquarters of the Israeli Mossad and meetings with Israelis, which was denied by the region’s authorities.

The Revolutionary Guards threatened that it would not stop its missile attacks in the region until the elimination of the separatists, while many saw the threats in an attempt to export the internal system crisis with the escalation of the protests against the killing of the Iranian -Kurdish young woman, Muhsa Amina.
Officials in the Kurdistan region of Iraq feel that they are in a difficult position, as the region has become an arena for conflict between many forces in the region..
