The Spanish Federation imposes a severe penalty on Lewandowski

Barcelona striker, Robert Lewandowski, suspended three matches in the Spanish league after he showed “disrespect for referee”, and the punishment will come into effect upon resuming the season after the end of the World Cup in Qatar.
The Polish international striker was expelled after he got two yellow cards against Osasuna on November 8, when he drew his nose by leaving the field, which was considered to be an insult to the referee Jesus Jel Manzano.

The Spanish Football Association said in a statement today, Wednesday, that in addition to the automatic suspension of one match, two other matches were imposed on the attacker to show him “a position of contempt or disrespect” towards the referee.
Lewandowski, the league’s top scorer with 13 goals, is scheduled to be absent from the derby match against Espanyol, Atletico Madrid and Real Betis.
It is possible that the Catalan club will resume the Spanish Federation’s decision.
