The Republican majority in the House of Representatives in Congress will be much lower than the party, after its failure to control the Senate in the wake of disappointing performance during the midterm elections.
In a statement, US President Joe Biden congratulated the leader of the Republican majority in the House of Representatives Kevin McCarthy, pledging to work with “anyone – a Republican or a democratic – is ready to work with me to achieve results for the American people.

The statement added: “Last week’s elections showed the strength and flexibility of American democracy. There was a strong rejection of election, political and intimidating violence. There was a certain statement that the people’s will prevailed in America.
“In these elections, voters clearly spoke about their concerns: the need to reduce costs, protect the right to choose, and to preserve our democracy. ”
“The future is very promising that we cannot fall into the trap of political war.
