The Children’s Museum holds the “Broken Planet” exhibition in cooperation with the History Museum in England

Dr. Fatima Mustafa, deputy director of the Children’s Museum, said during the exhibition “Our Broken Planet and its Reform Methods” organized by the Child Center for Civilization and Creativity, “Children’s Museum”, that climate change has existed since the beginning of creation, but human behavior has increased the frequency of climate changes during the last hundred years.

She added: “Through what the exhibition includes expressive paintings on climate change and its impact on the globe and scientific performances on the display screens attached to the exhibition, we call an appeal and a message to the world that the planet is on the brink of refraction,” and the exhibition is held in cooperation with the Museum of Natural History in England.

She pointed out that the exhibition came in conjunction with the framework of the 27th climate summit held in Sharm El -Sheikh in the presence of the heads and kings of the world, as it aims to raise awareness and motivate the public and introduce them to the importance of human behavior towards the environment and the climate.

Cash Costin, head of the Arts Programs at the Museum of Natural History in Britain, said during the opening of the exhibition that the climatic problem is a global problem, adding: “In the field of arts, we are interested in creating cooperation between England and Egypt in creative ways, showing the climate problem and the exhibition falls under the artistic section, an initiative from the British Council to create projects between British bodies and Egyptian bodies and cooperation between them to find a creative project that affects the dialogue for the climate.

Brad Airon, director of international relations at the Museum of Natural History in England, said that the exhibition deals with the emergency problems of climate change and its effects on crops, water and air, and that the exhibition does not review problems only, but is looking for solutions that can be presented to save the exhibition through researchers in the field of science, as he praised the initiatives that Egypt launched it to face climate change and to enhance the role of civil society and enable it in this regard, in order to enhance the development of the future of peace and security and achieve sustainable development.

Elizabeth White, an official in the British Center in Egypt, also expressed during her attendance of the exhibition activities, its appreciation for the wonderful efforts made by Egypt in the face of climate changes and praised the great efforts made by Egypt to host the twenty -seventh United Nations Conference for Climate Change, describing it as the huge international event, which represents the most important global gathering to confront weather changes”.

The opening of the exhibition witnessed officials from the Museum of Natural History in England, members of the British Council and some members of the Heliopolis Association..
