“We condemn the barbarian missile attacks that Russia launched on Ukrainian cities and civil infrastructure on Tuesday,” the statement said.
“We discussed the explosion that occurred in the eastern part of Poland near the border with Ukraine. We offer our full support and help us in the current investigation in Poland,” they added.
“We agreed to stay in close contact to determine the appropriate steps with the continuation of the investigation,” the statement added.
The meeting affirmed their “fixed” support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people in the face of what they described as “the ongoing Russian aggression”, also stressing their continuous readiness to “hold Russia accountable for its attacks on Ukrainian societies. ”
It is worth noting that US President Joe Biden said that it was “unlikely” that the missile that fell in Poland was fired from Russia, pledging to provide all support to the Polish authorities, according to “Sky News”.
This came after a meeting he gathered with the leaders of his ally countries on the sidelines of the G20 summit meetings on the Indonesian island of Bali.
For his part, Polish President André Doda emphasized the “lack of clear evidence” of the identity of the party that launched the missile that killed two people in a Polish town on Tuesday, but indicated that the missile was “probably Russian -made,” according to France Press.
“We have no conclusive evidence for the identity of the party that launched the missile. There is a running investigation. The missile is probably Russian -made,” Doda told a news conference.
The Russian Ministry of Defense denied any strikes on targets near the Ukrainian border by the Polish by the Russian Armed Forces.
