Abdullah Sao, a member of the Senegalese Football Association Board of Directors, confirmed today, Tuesday, that striker Sadio Mane will miss the first “Tigera Lions” matches in the World Cup in Qatar due to a leg injury.
The 30 -year -old striker joined the 26 World Cup Senegal squad, which kicks off on Sunday, despite his right -leg injury while playing with his German team Bayern Munich before the tournament.

Abdullah Sao said that he will have to cope without the best player in his squad at the start of the World Cup and “lack of grumbling a lot. ”
“We will have to rely on playing the first matches without Sadio and winning without Sadio because we have 25 players except Sadio . . . no one wanted that, but this is what happened to us. ”
The number of matches that Mane is expected to be missed.

The first match of the Senegalese team in the World Cup Qatar will be against the Netherlands next Monday, before Qatar faces hospitality on November 25 and Ecuador on 29 of it in the first group competitions.
