Kremlin: Public negotiations with Kyiv cannot be imagined

The Kremlin considered that the suffering of civilians in Ukraine, who face the power outage in the middle of winter after the Russian energy bombing of energy, is “the result” of Kyiv’s refusal to negotiate with Moscow.

“This is the result of the Ukrainian side’s unwillingness to solve the problem, start negotiations, and his refusal to seek to search for a common ground,” said the Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, in response to a question about the power outages faced by millions of Ukrainians.

He also accused Ukraine of changing its positions regarding peace talks between the two countries, and said that he did not imagine entering into public negotiations with it, and called on Washington to push Kyiv towards diplomacy.
Peskov told a press conference on the phone that the United States is able to take into account Russia’s concerns, and could encourage Kyiv to return to the negotiating table if it wanted to.

He added that Ukraine has changed its position regarding the desire to negotiate with Moscow several times during the conflict that has continued for nearly nine months and cannot be relied upon.
“They negotiate first, then they refuse to negotiate, then they law prohibit any kind of negotiations, and then they say they want negotiations, but public negotiations,” Peskov told reporters.
He added: “Therefore, it is difficult to depict public negotiations . ..

There is one certain thing: Ukrainians do not want any negotiations. ”
Peskov said that, in light of this, Moscow will continue the “private military operation”, and that missile strikes on targets across Ukraine were the result of Kyiv’s lack of readiness to sit at the negotiating table..
