The American University in Cairo will organize a party for the artist and composer Hazem Shaheen, next Thursday, at 7:30 pm.
The musician Hazem Shaheen is one of the most brilliant oud musicians in Egypt and the Arab world, and the great Lebanese musician “Ziad Rahbani” participated in many parties that were held in Lebanon, after he confirmed that it is the only music that accepts to participate in his concert.

And the poet and writer Wael Al -Samari said: “Hazem Shaheen loves the oud instrument exceptionally, so the machine bore him unless he bores him to anyone else, he loves her wood and the wood repeats his tones with love and inspiration, he loves the strings and responds to his slander with impurity and joy, he loves the feather and you see it in his hand a microscope for his sudden movements He grabs the neck of the oud as if it is a piece of his hand, swinging on it how he wants, ascends to fall out.

And the Lebanese critic Fadi Al -Abdullah said about him: “The pulse is what is overflowing with magic from a young Egyptian Oudist player who is Hazem Shaheen, the brightest of his generation today. ”
Shaheen’s books are characterized by modernity and originality at the same time, and Shaheen has been released by Buman, “Live and Salt” and “needs and Hashani”.

It also established the “Iskenderilla” band, which was distinguished by its group songs that express reality and inspiration from the eternal musical works of the eastern musical heritage.
It is worth noting that “Shaheen” was born in Alexandria Governorate 1978 and graduated in 1999 in the “Higher Institute of Arab Music” with a degree of excellence with honors, and worked as a teacher of the oud in the Arab Oud House.

He also won the first prize “Best Oud Player in the Arab World” in a competition International Oud in Beirut, sponsored by the Catholic University in 2002..
