The head of the Suez Canal Authority, Osama Rabie, revealed the number of ships that passed in the channel and the revenues obtained in 153 years.
Rabie explained that the navigation statistics of the Suez Canal were recorded since its opening on November 17, 1869 to this day, about 1. 4 million ships crossed, with a total net loads of up to 32. 4 billion tons, and quantities of goods estimated at 26 billion tons between East and West, to reflect the strategic importance that it enjoys.
