Biden rejects Zelinski’s assurances about the missile that struck Poland

US President Joe Biden rejected the assurances of his Ukrainian counterpart, Voludeimir Zellinski, that Russia fired a missile in Poland, continuing the efforts of the United States and its allies to reduce the escalation of the accident that caused deaths.

“Bloomberg” news agency said that upon his return to the White House after participating in the summit of the G20 countries on the Indonesian island of Bali, Biden was asked early Thursday morning that Zellinski denied that the Ukrainian air defenses launched the missile.
“This is not the evidence,” Biden said of the Ukrainian novel.

The missile resulted in the killing of two people in a Polish village near the Ukrainian border, yesterday, Tuesday, and the accident led to a turmoil at the G20 summit the next day when the leaders woke up to this news.
Biden held an emergency meeting with the leaders of the allied countries at his residence hotel on the island of Bali, where they pledged to support Poland’s investigation in the incident.
Biden told them, in secret, that the missile is of Ukrainian origin.

We publicly, caution about his lineage directly to Russia.
Many US officials said the missile is probably an Ukrainian anti-aircraft weapon, and is believed to be from the Russian Air Defense System S-300, and fired in response to Russian missile barrage that was launched on civilian targets in Ukraine.
Biden described these attacks, which target energy and other civilian infrastructure as “at all unreasonable.

Zelinski said he believed the missile was fired from Russia, and demanded Kyiv’s participation in the investigation.
Polish President André Doda described the deaths as a result of the missile as a “unfortunate accident”, and that it occurred as a result of the Ukrainian air defense procedures.
“There is no indication that Russia is preparing to launch offensive military attacks against NATO,” said Jens Stoltenberg..
