Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Olksander Cubrakov announced the extension of the Convention on the Transfer of Cereals across the Black Sea for 120 days.

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said during a press conference held on Wednesday on the sidelines of the G20 summit hosted by Indonesia, that he is seeking to extend the grain transfer agreement for one year.

The Russian invasion prevented the export of 20 million tons of grains from its ports until the agreement was reached under the auspices of the United Nations and Turkey in July. The grain transfer agreement succeeded in removing more than 11 million tons of grain from Ukrainian ports within four months.
