The Egyptian Publishers Union, headed by Saeed Abdo, is preparing to set an appointment to conduct the public lottery to accommodate publishers wishing to participate at the 54th Cairo International Book Fair, which is scheduled to start during the period from January 24 to February 6, at the headquarters of the Egypt Center for International Conferences and Exhibitions in the Fifth Settlement.
The door for progress was closed to participate in the exhibition on October 16th, and during the coming period, the approvals for the Egyptian publishing houses that fulfilled the conditions for participation will be sent.
The Higher Committee of the Cairo International Book Fair headed by Dr.
Nevin Al -Kilani, Minister of Culture, decided to allocate a complex wing in the 54th session of the exhibition for the small advanced publishing houses for participation, and the terms of subscription did not meet in terms of the number of publications.
This came within the framework of the ministry’s plan and the Egyptian General Book Authority to support the publishing industry, and Egyptian publishers in general, to give an opportunity for all publishing houses to participate in the annual Book Day, which is the largest and most important book exhibition in the Middle East.
The allocation of that pavilion came in the framework of coordination with the Egyptian General Book Authority to organize the participation of Egyptian publishers at the Cairo International Book Fair, the exhibition announced that “all publishers who submitted to participate in the exhibition that met the special subscription conditions were absorbed. “.
