The Egyptian Prime Minister, Mustafa Madbouly, issued a decision regarding the rules implementing the provisions of the law granting some facilities to Egyptians residing abroad for their import of cars.
The decision stipulated that the Egyptian who has a legal residence is entitled to abroad, to import one private ride for his personal use, exempt from taxes and fees that had to be performed to release this for a car, according to the conditions and conditions mentioned in Law No.
161 of 2022 regarding granting some facilities to Egyptians residing in The outside and this decision, in exchange for paying a required cash amount in accordance with the schedules specified in this regard. This amount is transferred from abroad in favor of the Ministry of Finance in the bank account stipulated in this decision.
The import of the car is from the first owner without adhering to a specific year of manufacture.

With regard to the banking account, the decision indicated that a bank account in the US dollar is opened in the name of the Ministry of Finance at the Egyptian National Bank, number (173100167), on which the cash amount due to the car in the foreign currency is converted when the initial registration procedures are met via the platform, according to the procedures stipulated in this decision, It is also converted to the amount of the amount that may occur over the cash amount due as a result of the re -settlement.

161 of 2022 regarding granting some facilities to Egyptians residing abroad, must open an electronic account on the platform with a distinctive introduction (ID) by entering its personal data (quadruple name – date of birth – the residence state – National number – the residence document number in the foreign country and its type – the means of communication – its bank account data abroad) as required by the platform, then raises the following documents on the platform in preparation for the initial registration of the car.
