The Security Committee of the Central Darfur State in Sudan, in its meeting on Sunday evening, decided to announce a state of emergency throughout the state for a month against the backdrop of bloody tribal clashes that took place in the past days.
The declaration of the emergency comes after more than 24 people were killed and others were injured in the events in Wadi Saleh and Bandsi’s locals.

The Governor of Central Davor pointed to the attacks and igniting fires and looting about 12 commercial stores in Wadi Saleh and Bandsi’s locals, as well as the spread of armed motorcycles with more than one person in the state in general, which threatens security and social peace and the harvest season.
The governor added that the state security committee also decided to prevent the gathering and tribal gathering in all the localities of the southern state..
