The content deals with the importance of strategic planning in public libraries, with the definition of the Egyptian public libraries system in terms of history and development, and reviewing strategic plans in public libraries in the world in terms of vision, message, and goals, as well as strengthening the violation by conducting in -depth interviews with more than twenty director and leaders of libraries From library specialists, in addition to submitting a proposal form for a strategic plan for public libraries in all elements of work in public libraries, in addition to some recommendations and proposals for planning for public libraries.
The importance of this study stems from the importance of the role that strategic planning plays in information institutions, and this will only be achieved by preparing in a scientific manner to face the requirements of the future and the multiple and intertwined problems faced by information institutions, which are one of the modern trends from advanced studies in the field of management, building plans It needs innovative and deepening thinking, the ability to analyze and interpret, and link factors, variables, resources and capabilities.
