The arrest of additional citizens in Iran was described by the French Foreign Ministry as “provocative work” on Sunday. The ministry added that Iran had made the wrong decision and would be held responsible for its actions.
Seven French nationals are currently being held in Iranian prisons, according to the foreign minister of France, Catherine Colonna, who told the newspaper “Le Parisien” on Saturday that two more French nationals had been detained there.

Friba Adjah was sentenced to five years in prison for violating national security.
