Ending the war on Ukraine is a solution to the problems

US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen announced on Monday that ending the war in Ukraine is the best way to address the problems of the global economy, in a clear message to Russia before the G20 summit in Indonesia.
“Ending the war launched by Russia is a moral duty and it is simply the best that can be done for the global economy,” Yellain told reporters on the sidelines of a meeting with its French counterpart Bruno Lummer.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine is not officially on the agenda of the summit, which includes 20 major economies.
Moscow called on the Group of Twenty to focus on economic and financial issues instead of political and security issues. But the war launched by Russian President Vladimir Putin nine months ago had deep economic repercussions, manifested in high energy and food prices.
Indonesia, the host country of the summit, calls for peace negotiations and refuses to condemn Moscow directly.

For his part, Bruno Lumer stressed the need to work to alleviate the economic effects of the conflict. “I think the first issue on the table is ways to reduce energy prices and how to get rid of inflation,” the French Economy Minister said..
