Al-Madinah News:- The Sudanese authorities announced, on Sunday, the imposition of the state of the west of the country for a month, against the backdrop of a tribal conflict that killed 24 people during the past days.
According to the official news agency “Sona”, the Security Committee of the Darfur State (West) State has decided to declare a state of emergency throughout the state for a month, starting yesterday, November 13th.

The agency added that “the declaration of the state of emergency came against the background of the development of the events that witnessed the locals of Wadi Saleh and Bandsi during the past days, and resulted in the death of more than 24 people and the injury of others (without mentioning their number).


The agency quoted the governor of Central Darfur State Saad Adam Babiker as saying that “the declaration of the state of emergency came with the aim of preserving the security of the state and the safety of citizens. ”
He added that “the state security committee also decided to prevent the gathering and tribal gathering in all the localities of the southern state.


On Wednesday, local media, including the “Darfur 24” website, reported that “more than 20 people were killed after clashes in the state of Central Darfur between the tribes of Awlad Rashid and Al -Miririya after a looting of development into a tribal fight between the two parties. ”
Several regions in Darfur are witnessing bloody clashes between the Arab and African tribes, as parts of conflicts on the land, resources, water and grazing paths.

On August 8, the United Nations said that the tribal conflict in several Sudanese states left 322 dead and 329 injured, along with the displacement of more than 163,000 between January and July 2022.
