100,000 Russian Troops Killed or Injurate in Ukraine, US Says

Kherson, a regional capital in southern Ukraine that was established early in the conflict, and a potential fighting stalemate over the winter may give both countries the opportunity to negotiate a peace agreement. The Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman, Army General Mark Milley, stated today.
He claimed that the war, which is now in its ninth mouth, has killed or wounded as many as 40,000 civilians from the Ukraine and “well over” 100,000 Russian soldiers.

He said at the Economic Club of New York, “There had been a tremendous amount of human suffering.
VOLODYMYR ZELENSKY, the president of Ukraine, stated yesterday that he was open to peace talks with Russia to end the war, but only under the condition that Russia return all of Ukraine’s occupied lands, make reparations for war damage, and engage in direct prosecution for war.
Russia has stated that it is open to negotiations and announced this week that it has retreated from Kherson.

ZELENSKY WARNED THAT THE RUSSIANS ARE PREPAREING A PULLOUT FROM Kherson TO ENTICE THE UKRAINIAN ARMY INTO A BATTLE IN THE STRATEGIC INDUSTRIAL PORT CITY, A GATEWAY TO THE RUSSIA-OCCUPIED CRIMINAL PEAK.
The highest-ranking US military officer, Milley, claimed that Russia had gathered between 20,000 and 30,000 troops in Kherson and that it would take several weeks to fully deploy them.
“The early signs show that they are in fact carrying it out. They announce their actions in the media.

I think they’re doing it to maintain their strength so they can rebuild their defensive lines south of the (Dnieper) River, but it’s still unclear,” he said.
Milley Said It’s Possible The Russians Will use the retreat to reset their troops for a spring offensive, but “There’s Also an Opportunity Here, to Window of Opportunity for Negotice”.

Milley used the conclusion of World War I as an example when he said that for negotiations to have a chance, Russia and Ukraine would need to come to a “mutual collection” that a military victory “may not be achievable this through military means, and therefore you need to turn to other means.”
