Zellinski: Russia destroyed the infrastructure of Khairsson before withdrawing

On Saturday, Ukrainian President Folodimir Zellinski declared that the military had retaken control of nearly 60 towns in the Jeresson region.
Additionally, he noted that there had been significant destruction in the area, saying, “Before escaping from Jesson, the Russians destroyed all the basic infrastructure, including communications, water supplies, heating, and electricity.”
“We feel overwhelmingly,” the Ukrainian president continued, and he showed that 2000 explosive devices have been nullified.

In addition, the Ukrainian police began on Saturday to remove mines from Jiusson the day after their restoration and documentation of “crimes” attributed to Russia in the large city in the south of the country, which is a major setback for the Kremlin.
According to a statement from National Police Commander Igor Clemenko, 200 police officers were dispatched to Jiusson to set up road checkpoints and record the “Russian occupier crimes.”

The city’s residents also alerted to the presence of mines left by the Russian forces and urged them to “move with caution. ” Clemenko claims that a police officer was hurt while clearing mines out of a Jiusson building.

It is noteworthy that the Russian Ministry of Defense had announced on Friday that it had completed the withdrawal of its forces from Jiusson and its retreat to the West Bank of the Dnibro River, confirming that it had not incurred any losses in lives or equipment during the withdrawal.
This withdrawal dealt the Russian army a painful blow and demonstrated a significant setback, especially since it was the first significant Ukrainian city to fall into his hands since the conflict began on February 24.

Together with Donetsk, Lugansk, and Zaburijia, it also forms the group of four areas that the Kremlin annexed in late September 2022.
Also, its geographical location is of special importance, as the region is located on the borders of the Dnibro Petrovsk and Nicolav regions, and it has land borders with Crimea in the south, while overlooking the Black Sea in the southwest, and in the southeast on the Azov Sea.

Since the start of the Russian operation on February 24, this is the third significant Russian withdrawal. Russia was forced to abandon the seizure of Kyiv in the spring in the face of the fierce resistance from the Ukrainians before it was expelled from each Karkiv region (northeast) in September..

Before withdrawing, Russia destroyed Khairsson’s infrastructure, according to Zellinski
