Police charge suspect in May 2021 homicide: Winnipeg

Someone has been charged by Winnipeg police in relation to a homicide that occurred in May 2021.
The victim was Princeton Xavier Linden Upshaw, 30 years old.
Police were called to the first 100 block of Henry Avenue on May 23 at 2:30 p.m. for a report of a seriously injured man.
Upshaw received immediate first aid, but his injuries caused him to pass away.
Police identified a suspect after conducting additional investigation.

On Nov, 10 investigators went to the Milner Ridge Correctional Centre and arrested the suspect for second-degree murder.
Leslie Boyd Cook, a 27-year-old man from Winnipeg, is accused and is being held.
