Nigeria issues a new currency and terrorist groups refuse

The Nigerian government’s decision to redesign and re-release higher categories of the currency has led to a ban on the receipt of brightness from farmers and fishermen by the ISWAP Shura Council.
The Nigerian government announced its plan to redesign the N200, N500, and N1000 banknotes. The new notes will start to be issued in December, and by January 31, 2020, the old banknotes will no longer be legal tender.

Everyone agreed that the government’s action drove supporters of the Shura Council away from bank branches and confused them because it would be extremely challenging for them to convert their cash into the new currency papers.

In order to stop the new currency from reaching terrorist camps in Lake Chad, an intelligence source told Akhbar Al-Anis correspondent that the rebels prevented all Nigerian fishermen, sponsors, and farmers from infiltrating to Lake Chad via Marti, Abadam, and Jabburon Nagala.

The people were forbidden from leaving certain areas by the leaders of the organisation in charge of taxes and fees, and they were only permitted to travel along the secure routes built by the terrorist group.
ISIS, on the other hand, amassed 1500 francs in monthly taxes from people who appear to be more than willing to pay.
They also secured trade routes for markets, to enable them to access food, weapons, fuel and other logistics services..

Terrorist groups reject Nigeria’s new currency.
