On Saturday, French President Emmanuel Macron conducted a phone conversation with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev, during which the two sides expressed their desire to “maintain close coordination,” the Elysee said in a statement.
Emmanuel Macron will also have a meeting with Nicole Pashinian, the prime minister of Armenia, on November 19 in Djerba, according to the French presidency.
Hours after a new bombing on the border as part of a conflict that has claimed hundreds of lives in recent months, Armenia and Azerbaijan held Monday’s talks in Washington under the sponsorship of the United States.
The Elysee added that Macron and Laif “is hoping to maintain close coordination in the aftermath of the Prague Summit” that was gathered on the sixth of October, Aliyev Bashinyan on the sidelines of the first meeting of the European Political Group.
As was decided to be published during the Prague Summit, he noted that Emmanuel Macron “welcomed the impact of the stability of the European Union’s civil mission along the border with Azerbaijan.”
Macron and Laif want to continue working closely together on Armenia and Azerbaijan.
