Iran’s exports to Iraq 4 billion dollars of commodities in the first 7 months of the current fiscal year

According to the Iranian-Iraqi Chamber of Commerce, Iran exported goods worth about $4 billion to Iraq in the first seven months of the current fiscal year.

Hamid Hosseini, a member of the Iranian-Iraqi Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors, said in statements to the Faris News Agency that “reports indicate a steady increase in Iranian exports through land outlets with Iraq,” adding that the country’s exports to Iraq exceeded the monthly average of $ 600 million in the seventh month from the current fiscal year ending on October 20, 2022, when they amounted to 647 million dollars, an increase of 420 million dollars.

Hosseini stated that he anticipates the monthly export average to increase by 750 to 800 million dollars in the upcoming months and that the first half of the fiscal year (March 20 to September 20 2022) will make up for the first half. He continued, “The anticipation of forming the new government, and slowing down Intelligent trade relations on the days of the forty-fifth visit, and Iran cancelling the official exchange rate of basic commodities, is one of the factors that will affect the first half of the fiscal year

He mentioned that in the most recent fiscal year, which ended on March 20, 2022, commodity exports to Iraq had totaled $9 billion without accounting for electricity.
