Voters in a state that became the focal point for allegations of election fraud in 2020 were quickly reassured by election workers after 20 percent of voting machines in Arizona were interfered with.
A small number of the 223 polling places in Phoenix’s Maryikuba Province, according to officials, experienced difficulties.
“About 20 percent of the centers are facing technical problems,” said the head of the Merikuba Bill Gates Province Council.
According to Gates, malfunctioning voting machines won’t compromise the integrity of the process.
The cards that cannot be surveyed electronically, he noted, will be put in a “safe box” and held there until later in the evening, when they will be brought here to the province’s centre to be erased.
US President Joe Biden has won the 2020 elections in Arizona, by a slight difference of ten thousand votes, and Marikuba Province played a key role in this victory.
However, many of the results were questioned in the state that has historically favoured the Republicans, which gave rise to conspiracy theories about the outcomes.
During the past two years, former President Donald Trump has sought to promote allegations of results, although this was not proven in several investigations, one of which was conducted with Republican funding.
In an effort to guard the early voting funds and ostensibly prevent fraud, some of them were observers and some of them were armed, but a court order forbade them from approaching these boxes.
