Ontario Government Introduction Grade 6 Holocaust Education Requirement in 2023

According to the Ontario government, the province’s grade 6 curriculum will now include a mandatory learning requirement on Holocaust education.
Stephen Lecce, a mentor in education, says The Requirement is part of reforms to Help Young Students Understand the meaning of the holocaust and fight what the government say is rising antisytism in schools.

Lecce declares that his ministry will also collaborate with the Ontario College of Teachers to create professional development for educators so that they can support Holocaust education initiatives even more.
According to the province, the grade 6 Holocaust education learning requirement will go into effect in September 2023.
A similar requirement is Currently Part of the Grade 10 Canadian History Curriculum.

The Province Reports That, Just in the 2021–22 School Year, There Have Been Over Fifty Incidents Involving Anti-Semitic Hate Symbols in The Toronto District School Board.
