Officials: Biden will hold meetings with the leaders of Egypt, Cambodia and Indonesia

Senior US administration officials announced on Tuesday that President Joe Biden will meet the leaders of Egypt, Cambodia and Indonesia during a widespread trip that includes the World Climate Summit in Egypt, the Assyrian Association meetings and the Group of Twenty Industrial Countries.
Officials were unable to confirm whether Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping, who is anticipated to attend the summit, would have a separate meeting or what topics would be covered in such a meeting.

The first direct meeting between the two leaders since Biden assumed office in January 2021 is being planned by the two governments.
The officials said that Biden will start his tour to travel to Egypt to participate in the United Nations Climate Change Summit (COP 27), Friday, where he will talk about the United States’ efforts to reduce emissions and will hold a bilateral meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi.

They added that Biden will then travel to Cambodia, from Saturday to Sunday, to participate in the annual summit of the United States and the member states of the ASEAN and East Asian Summit, where he will focus on issues of the Indian and Handy Ocean region and talks about the United States’ commitment to support an international system based on principles in a sea South China.
From Sunday through November 16 Biden Indonesia will be in town to take part in a G20 leaders summit.

Biden would vehemently defend Ukraine and criticise Russia during the meeting, according to one official.

Biden will meet with the leaders of Egypt, Cambodia, and Indonesia, according to officials.
