A Texas jury executed a woman for murdering a pregnant mother who she knew would steal her unborn child.
After just over an hour of deliberation, the jury returned with Taylor Parker’s, 29, sentence, according to The Texarkana Gazette. The same Bowie County jury found Parker guilty of capital murder on October 3 in the 2020 slaying of Reagan Simmons-Hanck, age 21, whose unborn child was removed from her womb but did not survive.

Parker was referred to by Simmons-Hanck’s mother as an “Evil Piece of Flesh Demon” in a statement to the court.
Jessica Brooks stated, “My baby was alive and fighting for her babies when you tore her open and ripped her baby from her stomach.”
Simmons-Hanck’s Body was Found Oct. 9, 2020, AT Her Home in New Boston, to City of About 4600 People That’s 258 Kilometers Northeast of Dallas.
When her mother was killed, her 3-year-old daughter was at home.

Later that morning, after being stopped by a state trooper for speeding and erratic driving, Parker claimed she had just given birth.
Braxlynn Sage Hancock, the infant, was brought to a hospital in Oklahoma where she was later declared dead.
According to the prosecution, Parker faked ultrasounds, held a gender-revealing party, and made herself appear pregnant in an effort to keep her boyfriend.

Simmons-Hancock’s husband, Homer Hancock, testified that Parker and his wife were “somewhat friends” and that Parker had captured their wedding and engagement photos.
Prosecutor Kelley Crisp showed Juras a crime scene photo of Simmons-Hanck covered in blood on the floor during her closing arguments. She informed the jury that Parker needed to be killed because she posed a threat.

She claimed that Simmons-Hanck had been beaten and “slashed” numerous times as a result of having her unborn child torn from her womb.
In his closing remarks, Parker’s attorney, Jeff Harrelson, told the jury that there are “Layers” and “Shades of Gray” to people’s lives and warned them that “Words Can Be Used to Dehumanize.”
He said, “She is a human.
Harrelson Also Said Parker Was Let Down By Her Friends and Family, Who Didn’t Confront Her About The Fake Pregnancy.

When everyone noticed that the wheels were off, he claimed that there was no safety net.
