In order to prepare for Belgium’s friendly match against Kuwait on November 18, the technical staff of the first Egyptian national football team, led by Portuguese coach Roy Vitoria, agreed on Tuesday to call Al-Ahly defender to the squad’s current camp in Cairo.
Mahmoud Mitwalli was taken off the list after the national team’s medical staff informed fans via the Egyptian Football Association’s official Facebook page that Mitwalli’s x-rays revealed tension in his posterior muscle after he complained of muscle pain. As a result, it was decided to keep Mitwalli away from the national team camp.
The first of two camps for the Egyptian national team—the first from November 7 to November 11 and the second from November 13 to November 18—began on Monday morning.
