The bomber of the mosque attack in New Zealand resumes his life imprisonment

In two mosques in the New Zealand city of Kreyschids, 51 worshipers were slaughtered, according to a judiciary spokeswoman on Tuesday.
The episode involving this group shooting was the worst in New Zealand’s recorded history.
The date of the appeal hearing has not yet been determined, according to Chris Abraham, a spokesman for the Court of Appeal, who spoke to Reuters.

Bernon Tarant, who killed 51 people and attempted to kill an additional 40 at two mosques in Kreystech, the biggest city on New Zealand’s southern island, was given a life sentence without the possibility of parole in 2020.
This was the first instance in which a New Zealand court sentenced someone to life in prison.
Tony Elis, Tarant’s attorney at the time, stated in November 2021 that his client was thinking about appealing the judgement.

Ellis informed Reuters in an email on Tuesday that he was no longer Tarant’s representative.
During Friday services, Tarant, an Australian citizen, stormed the mosque and opened fire randomly from a half-robot while simultaneously streaming the killings live on his headcam.

The New Zealand mosque bomber is back in prison serving a life sentence.
