Biden and Trump hustle for votes on eve of midterm elections

US President Joe Biden and his predecessor have hit the campaign trail for one last evening of vote hustling for tomorrow’s midterm elections.
Speculation suggested that former president Donald Trump would declare his candidacy for the White House at his address in Ohio, but he made little mention of the start of a campaign.

Instead, he expressed support for the death penalty being implemented for drug traffickers and spent a lot of time criticising the numerous legal obstacles he is up against.
In a fairly critical stump speech, Biden also cautioned MAGA Republicans’ followers, claiming that they believed in “trickle-down economics” and would restrict access to abortion.
“Just keep in mind who the hell you are, people. We are the United States of America,” he said.

Low polling results for Biden have resulted in former president Barack Obama being given the bulk of the lead campaigning duties for the Democrats.
The economy and expense of living, the security of election results, and the recent wave of abortion restrictions following the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision are the three main concerns that voters are concerned about this midterm election.

Following a recent trigger law prohibition in Tennessee, one clinic in Bristol, a border town, was compelled to relocate across town, a few blocks east to Virginia.
Because of the Supreme Court’s ruling, protesters have been more assertive in their vigils outside the clinic.
“The people that we have that come here and stand over there and scream and assault us. They seem to be fanatics, “Stephanie Rosenwinge, a clinic employee, remarked.

“Everyone should demonstrate peacefully. We express ourselves through it. We are really fortunate to be in a country where doing such is lawful. But it shouldn’t have progressed to this.
According to surveys, the majority of Americans, or about 60%, think that women should have the option to undergo an abortion.
Some states have introduced referendums on their ballots specifically relating to abortion rights, and Democrats are hoping it’ll encourage Republicans and Independents to consider changing their votes..

In the run-up to the midterm elections, Biden and Trump clamour for votes.
