The Rural Municipality of Ritchot’s single-vehicle accident resulted in the death of a man, according to the Manitoba RCMP.
Around 7:30 on Saturday night, emergency personnel were called to the scene of a collision near the intersection of Krahn Road and Doerksen Road.
According to police, a 60-year-old resident of the RM of De Salaberry passed away there.
The man’s pickup was travelling north on Krahn Road when it slammed head-on into a ditch where the road ends, according to the RCMP.
Investigators say there are no signs he tried to stop before the crash, indicating he likely wasn’t aware the road ended.
According to reports, the driver was not buckled up at the time of the collision.
