Danilo thought he had given Juventus the lead in the 66th minute, but the assistant video referee disallowed the goal because the player touched the ball with his hand before it reached the opposition Inter.
With 25 points after 13 games, Juventus has moved up to fifth place, one point behind Inter in seventh place.
With 35 points, Napoli is in first place in the league, six points ahead of Milan, which is the reigning champion. Lazio and Atlanta each have 27 points.
