Zellinski: Russian forces are suffering heavy losses in eastern Ukraine

Today, Sunday, Ukrainian President Foludmir Zellinski declared that Russia is ready to launch new attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, signalling that Moscow is suffering significant losses as a result of its ongoing “fierce” attacks in the Donetsk region in the country’s east.
Additionally, he stated in his video from that evening, “The furious Russian attacks on the Donetsk region are still ongoing. There, the enemy suffered significant losses.

He stated that in his opinion, Russia “is preparing forces and resources for the potential launch of further infrastructure assaults and against energy facilities in the first place.
In addition, the Ukrainian president said that the Iranian regime helps Russia to prolong the war in his country, stressing that had it not been for Tehran’s supply of Moscow with weapons, the path to peace would have been closer.

Zelinski claimed that it was the second occasion that Russia has deployed Iranian drones, pointing out that Moscow needs Iranian missiles at the moment when its forces and resources are being prepared to conduct new strikes against Ukrainian infrastructure, particularly power stations.
In his words, “we would not be closer to peace now, which implies reaching a comprehensive solution to the food problem and securing stability in the energy market, if Iran does not supply weapons to Russia.

Zelinski claimed to have discussed the need to put further pressure on the Iranian government with European Commission President Ursula von der Line today, highlighting the importance of holding Tehran accountable for its role in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Earlier today, the head of the European Commission claimed to have spoken with Zellinski about strategies for dealing with Iran’s “bad” participation in Moscow’s campaign of aggression against Ukraine.

The two sides also spoke on the phone about strengthening sanctions against Russia, which has been conducting military operations in Ukraine since late February, according to a statement from the Commission.

Zellinski: In eastern Ukraine, Russian soldiers are losing a lot of battles.
