European Commission Chairman Orzola von der Line said that “everything we can” should be made to reduce global global warming at a rate of 1. 5 degrees Celsius, while world leaders meet at the Climate Summit COB 27 in Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt to discuss the move on climate change.
The biggest challenge we are currently facing is climate change.
Von der Line, who is also in Sharm El Sheikh, highlighted several EU climate change programmes in his tweets and said that “Europe is still on the path.”
Additionally, it stated that the European Union promised to deliver 23 billion euros (or 23 billion dollars) in climate money to the developing world in 2021 to aid in carbon emission reduction and climate change adaptation.
Von der Line: To keep global warming at the targeted 1.5 °C, we must exert every effort.
