Yesterday, in the presence of a number of plastic artists, media professionals, and certain public figures, Gallery Picasso East inaugurated the sixth assembly of the Recycled exhibition for 17 artists and artists, which was timed to coincide with the start of the United Nations Climate Summit COP27.
The plasticists recycled several materials’ leftovers, such as scraps of copper and iron, cloth, burlap, and glass, to create integrated artwork.
According to the artist Mahmoud Hamed, the plastic arts are an essential component of the state system in general. If Egypt hosts the climate summit, we will observe how the entire system responds to the event because plastic art plays a significant role in helping to explain the concept of the climate and its significance.
In addition to presenting filming on environmental doughs and straightforward colours, Mahmoud Hamed explained that the Picasso Gallery had hosted the plastic artists connected to the idea, whether it was the rotation of materials or the use of technically consumed materials to give the idea importance.
For his part, the artist Mahmoud Meri said that the artist is looking for raw materials that are strange that help on ideas that the brush was not unable to, as most of us as plastic artists are looking for materials in which surprising and strange colors and no artist did before.
Mahmoud Meri outlined how the artist constantly looks for materials that come from the environment and added that his work relies on the “shanty shout” material.
The artist Wael Darwish stated that Egypt possesses unique environmental resources that date back more than 7,000 years in the same context. We are aware that we give away environmental resources until they are valued.
Wael Darwish emphasised that it is difficult to recycle raw materials.
Wael Darwish added that Egypt hosted the Climate Summit that supports our economic and international situation, and plastic art is among the things that constitute an intermediary between the recipient and the artist, following that happy with the participation of the Piciso Ist Gallery.
