Mr. Al -Qusayr, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, said that the release of feed requirements is continuous in coordination with the Central Bank in the context of following up the results of the meeting held by Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, regarding poultry wealth.
Al-Qusayr stated that 172 thousand tonnes of corn and soy seed worth roughly 77 million dollars were dispersed over the course of the previous five days.
148 thousand tonnes of corn, valued at about 53 million dollars, 24 thousand tonnes of soy seed, valued at about 17 million dollars, and feed additions, valued at about 6 million dollars were also released, he continued. This brought the total amount released over the past two weeks to 355 thousand tonnes, including 270 thousand tonnes of corn, 85 thousand tonnes of soybeans, and feed additions, valued at a total of about 171 million dollars.
Al-Qusayr emphasised that the release intends to offer markets with numbers of farm animals as well as corn and soy, which are the major ingredients in poultry feed.
