The collapse of a “burning” commercial building in the Al-Waziriya neighbourhood of the nation’s capital, Baghdad, caused injuries to Kazem Bohan, the director general of civil defence in Iraq, as well as others, today, Sunday.
According to a security source, the fall of a portion of the burning perfume store building in the capital’s Al-Waziriya neighbourhood caused the injuries to the director general of civil defence and ten other affiliates.
He further stated that among the injured were four policemen of various ranks and the Director of the Rusafa Caret Caret’s Civil Defense.
He described the sounds as coming from “an explosion and flying perfume bundles during the control operations.”
While he pointed out that more than 35 divisions struggled with the fire, pointing out that the civil defense teams managed to secure the neighboring stores and control the extension of the fire..
