South Korea is participating in a review of the Japanese fleet for the first time in 7 years

In light of the rising nuclear and missile concerns from North Korea, a South Korean Navy ship took part in the worldwide display of the Japanese navy today, Sunday, for the first time in 7 years.
Twelve nations, including the United States, Canada, and Australia, took part in the event in the “Sajami” harbour off the coast of the Kanagawa Governorate. South Korea was one of them.
According to Yonhap News Agency, South Korea is taking part in the event for the first time since 2015.

While the Japanese Navy Self-Defense Force joined the South Korean fleet in 1998 and 2008, the South Korean Navy took part in the Japanese fleet review in 2002 and 2015 instead.

South Korea is taking part in a Japanese fleet assessment for the first time in seven years.
