“Kuwait Environment”: COP27 Summit is pushing towards reducing the negative repercussions of climate change

The Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27), which brings together global leaders and mobilises attention, should be held in Sharm El-Sheikh, according to the Kuwaiti Environment Authority. This will help push for efforts to lessen the adverse effects of climate change.

In a statement released today, Monday, the Kuwaiti Environment Authority said that a technical delegation led by the board chairman, Sheikh Abdullah Ahmed Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah, will represent the authority during the summit’s events.

highlighting the growing Kuwaiti interest in the environmental issue in all of its local and global manifestations, which is evident in participation in such conferences and demonstrates the country’s dedication to the relevant environmental treaties and international agreements as well as the international decisions made by the Climate Change Convention.

The commission emphasised that more than 40,000 regional and worldwide organisations would be attending the meeting, which will be held until November 18th, as part of ongoing efforts to protect the globe from the harmful consequences of climate change.
