The US State Department: Washington will try to stop “delivery of weapons” from North Korea to Russia

US State Department spokesman Ned Price announced that Washington intends to use all available means to stop the supply of weapons from North Korea to Russia.
Intervention is demanded from nations that have sway over North Korean leadership.

“The transfer of weapons from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to Russia will be resisted by us in the same way that we resisted the transfer of weapons from Iran to Russia by seizing every opportunity to do so. There are already punishments in place, and we will take other factors into account.”
According to the American authorities, North Korea is hiding ammunition for Russia as shipments to countries in North Africa and the Middle East.

According to Price, “We will keep looking for ways to hold North Korea accountable for its continuous imports of Russian weapons as well as its development of WMD and ballistic missiles.”

“We believe that all responsible countries, and of course permanent members of the UN Security Council, must fully apply the sanctions before Security Council,” he continued. “This includes countries that have influence over the regime in the Democratic Popular Republic of Korea, which the United States does not. It also includes all responsible countries.

John Kirby, the coordinator for the National Security Council, claimed earlier on Wednesday that North Korea was giving Russia a “significant amount” of artillery shells for use in Ukraine.
The North Korean Ministry of Defense refuted such reports in September, claiming that Pyongyang had no intention of giving Russia ammunition or weaponry as the United States asserts, and that the accusations were unfounded and meant to damage the country’s reputation.
