The number of people killed by the sinking of a sailboat carrying several migrants to Europe has risen to 26, according to the Greek government.
The Greek authorities said – in a statement carried by the American “ABC News” news network – that they had found the bodies of three migrants in the past hours.
She clarified that there are currently 12 survivors, emphasising that there were children among the deceased and informing the audience that two persons were allegedly detained for smuggling gang membership.
26 people have died from drowning as a result of a boat capsize in the Aegean Sea.
