Plainkin is holding a phone conversation with Mahmoud Abbas and renews the United States’ commitment to the two -state solution

Today, Saturday, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken spoke by phone with Mahmoud Abbas, the president of the Palestinian Authority, about their shared goals of enhancing the security and freedom of the Palestinian people as well as the quality of their lives.

A US State Department spokesman Ned Price – in a statement that the German News Agency (DPA) received a copy of it – that Plinken renewed the confirmation of the United States’ commitment to the two -state solution and stressed its deep concern about the situation in the West Bank, including tensions and businesses the rising violence between Israelis and Palestinians and the deaths that result from it.

Additionally, the US Secretary of State emphasised the necessity for the two parties to prevent an escalation in a crisis.

Mahmoud Abbas and Plainkin are speaking on the phone, and Plainkin reiterates the US commitment to the two-state solution.
