Myanmar requires the imprisonment of a former deputy, 173 years old

The 52-year-old Wayne Mint Hulang was the member of the Sochi government and its party who received the longest-lasting ruling of all those detained following the army takeover on February 1, 2021. However, after being found guilty of terrorism-related offences, the government executed at least four political activists.
The army has detained 917 party executives and members, according to a May statement from the National Association of Democracy, and is still holding 701 of them.

The same Sochi was detained on the day the army seized the verdict, found guilty of various counts, and given a 26-year prison term. In order to discredit her and prevent people from voting in the next elections, which the army has pledged to hold in 2023, her supporters claimed that the accusations were false.
Wayne Mint Hulang won the elections in the local parliament of the Magawi region in central Myanmar in 2015 but did not participate in the 2020 elections.

Before being detained in November of last year in the town of Yaksuk in the province of Shan East Myanmar, he took part in anti-army demonstrations.
After his detention, the security forces took possession of his townhouse, forcing him and his family to leave.
According to the army-controlled media, Wayne Mint Hulang gathered guns and ammunition and helped a local defence force bomb banks, police stations, and educational facilities as part of its campaign against the army.

Myanmar demands that a former deputy who is 173 years old be imprisoned.
