Iranian Revolutionary Guards: We were a cell of a European country in Khuzestan

A cell was allegedly destroyed by Revolutionary Guards intelligence in the southwest Iranian province of Khuzestan, according to a security source in Iran.
The source added that this cell is supported by a European country that was not determined, noting that the arrest was carried out before any operation, according to what local media reported.

He also said that “the detainees admitted that they were in the process of assassinating Arab figures in Khuzestan and repeating the killing scenario similar to what happened in Zahedan and Ardabel. ”
According to the Iranian Human Rights Organization, this occurs as the nation is still experiencing widespread protests in numerous provinces that have been put down by security forces, killing 304 people, including more than 40 children.

Last October, dozens of activists received calls to attend protest rallies in all the cities in the Khuzestan Governorate and to join the nation’s overall protest movement.
The first time the Ahvaz documented joining the protest was at the beginning of last October.
Dozens came out in the southwest of the country, especially the Zaitoun neighborhood, while security fired tear gas to disperse the protesters.

The protesters also screamed “death to the dictator” in reference to the Iranian supreme leader Ali Khamenei, and they also raised anti-power shouts.
According to reports, the country’s protests haven’t subsided since the death of the young Kurdish woman, Muhsa Amini, on September 16, three days after she was detained by the Ethics Police and taken to a hospital in Tehran.

Her passing has since stoked the flames of resentment over a number of issues, including the limitations placed on individual freedoms and the stringent regulations governing women’s attire, as well as the living and economic crisis that the Iranian people experience, not to mention the stringent regulations imposed by the government system and its political structure as a whole.

While the security forces detained hundreds of people, including college and high school students, the leaders accused the protesters of being betrayed and dependent on foreign governments.
