COP27 climate summit .. Free mobile line for conference guests

Hundreds of attendees of the climate summit waited in line today, Sunday, in Sharm El Sheikh, at the conference’s registration offices to receive the identification cards for attendance. The organisers were eager to quickly register for the attendees while maintaining good organisation, and that guests can obtain a phone line from a mobile provider for free through the passport only, to facilitate communication.

In addition to the local phone line that makes it possible for people to communicate with one another in each hall, visitors can use the Internet in the halls of the international conference centre where the events, sessions, and conferences will be held.

The climate summit will start today, Sunday, and will continue until November 18 in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi and the wide participation of the leaders of the world, senior officials, heads of government and representatives of international and regional institutions, with the aim of finding solutions to save the planet from climate changes that cause harm, and the world’s attention is directed to Egypt that is decorated to host the climate summit, especially in Sharm El-Sheikh, a city that has transformed into a green one and relies on green mobility.

The inauguration of the conference today, the opening of the leadership summit on Monday, and the opening of the high-level portion of the conference on November 15th are the three primary activities of the conference.
Egypt submitted last year to host this year’s session of the conference, and was selected as the sole African nation that wanted to host it, in accordance with the rotation arrangement between the continents.

Egypt will endeavour to make the meeting “a radical turning point in international climate efforts in conjunction with all parties in favour of Africa and the whole globe,” according to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
