US President Joe Biden stated at a convention of the Democratic Party on Saturday that the midterm elections taking place next week will be a “milestone” in the future of American democracy.
“This is a milestone for the nation and we must all speak with one voice,” said Biden in Philadelphia, as it provides support to Democratic candidates in the elections of the governor of Pennsylvania and the Senate.
On the other hand, former US President Donald Trump urged Republicans to vote for his party in a “great wave” on Saturday.
“If you want to stop the destruction of our country and save the American dream, then you must vote for the Republicans in a giant red wave,” Trump said in front of a massive gathering in Pennsylvania, in a reference to the color of his party.
Biden, former Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump came together on Saturday in sizable crowds to promote their respective candidates on opposite ends of Pennsylvania. Vitman will be joined by Obama at a large rally in Pittsburgh, and they will later meet up with Joe Biden, Josh Shapiro, and other candidates for state governor in Philadelphia.
Trump spent the same evening in Pittsburgh alongside Mohamed Oz and Doug Mastero, the Republican nominee for governor.
In fierce competition in a few states that are expected to determine which party will control the Senate, US Senate candidates began to spread through the states of the key battlegrounds on Friday as we approached the final weekend before the midterm elections that will determine the control of the council.
