Zellinski: We do not see a Russian desire to negotiate to end the war

According to Ukrainian President Floudimir Zellinski, Moscow does not appear to be willing to engage in negotiations to end the conflict with his nation.
On Friday night in Kyiv, he said in his daily video message that although Russia is sending tens or hundreds of thousands of soldiers to battle, those who want to negotiate will not permit civilians to perish in the “meat minute.”
“We are now prepared for peace, a just and fair peace,” he continued. We have announced its formulation several times.

He emphasised that Russia should first and foremost acknowledge that Ukraine’s borders and territorial integrity are protected by international law.
The Ukrainian President accused Russia of misleading everyone by offering negotiations recently to put an end to the conflict on foreign interlocutors.

He pointed out that although Moscow had officially proclaimed the end of the army’s partial reserve mobilisation, “in reality, Russia continues to gather people in its regions and in our seized territory in order to let them perish.
Zelinski has urged the complete evacuation of Russian military from Ukrainian soil as a prerequisite for peace negotiations. In addition, Russia demanded that those responsible for what he dubbed the terrorist assault against Ukraine accept responsibility.

He emphasised the necessity of Moscow punishing war criminals and making amends for Ukraine’s losses.

Zellinski: We don’t perceive a Russian intention to engage in negotiations to end the conflict.
