During an unexpected trip to Ukraine, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan reaffirmed that Kev will continue to receive financial and humanitarian aid, and that efforts to hold Russia responsible for its military intervention would continue to be made with allies.
According to a statement on the White House website today, Saturday, he confirmed the United States’ unwavering support for Ukraine and its people in defending their sovereignty and the integrity of their lands during his meeting with Ukrainian President Folodimir Zellinski, his office manager Andre Yermak, Defense Minister Okexy Residence, and others in Kyiv.
In order to accomplish this, Sullivan reportedly revealed a $400 million enhanced security package that would include T-72 tanks, drones, and a “Hook” surface-to-air missile.
In an effort to highlight support from both parties in the US, Sullivan made a surprise trip to Ukraine a day after Democratic Senator Chris Konz and his Republican counterpart, Rob Portman, did the same.
The US National Security Advisor confirms that Ukraine would continue to receive financial and humanitarian aid.
